Portrait info
General information:
- The work is done by hand, painted with watercolor, you will receive an original piece.
- No portrait is delivered framed or with Maria Luisa.
- The paper size may vary by a few millimeters.
- For products where you can choose multiple pets, this doesn't mean the number of individual works; the illustration is group work. If you want one portrait for each pet, you must purchase the product for the number of pets you want to portray.
-
It's recommended to photograph in good lighting, avoiding awkward perspectives, filters, and blur. It's possible to work with low-resolution photos as long as you agree that this may affect the final result.
- The drawing is a portrait, encompassing part of the chest and head; it does not include the body, legs, or tail. A portrait that includes only the full body is called an "anthropomorphic portrait."
- It does not include sketches or sending previous ideas, if you want to see sketches it is charged separately.
- Delivery time is around 2-6 weeks. When your work is ready for delivery, you will receive an email with a photo before it is shipped. If you need it by a specific date, please inquire using the form before placing your order.
- All backgrounds are plain, you can suggest 2 colors, I will choose the one that best suits the portrait.
- You must respond and submit the information within 24 hours of making the purchase, otherwise your order will not ship on the estimated dates.
- You must submit all information by replying to the "order confirmed" email. Avoid composing a new email (only emails that are responded to under "order confirmed" are reviewed).
When ordering, if your portrait is "pet":
You will receive an email confirming your order. Reply to that email with the photos and information needed to create your portrait . Do not change the subject, add any extra words or information, or delete any information from the original email. Simply reply to that email with this information:
- Please upload only 5 photos in JPG format. Choose your favorite photo and rename it "BASE" (this will be the reference for the pose). The other 4 photos will be references for your pet's color and characteristic details.
- You can comment on any additional details about the pet, this helps me conceptualize and achieve a better finish.
- Choose 2 colors, these will be used for the background (I will use the most suitable one).
- If there is more than 1 pet, please attach 1 zip for each pet. (do not send 1 email per pet, this is confusing, you must do everything in 1 email). If you cannot make a zip, rename all the photos, for example: pet1_base, pet1_photo1 , pet1_photo2, pet1_photo3, etc. (or, you can use the name of your pet, for example: Brontë_base, Brontë1, Brontë2, Brontë3, Brontë 4 )
- If you choose an anthropomorphic portrait: Attach pictures of the clothing you'd like your pet to wear. It's important, but not required. Tell me a little more about your pet, as I can use this information to create a more personalized artwork.
- If all information is submitted correctly, you will not receive any confirmation emails or similar.
When ordering, if your portrait is "a person":
- I DON'T DRAW PEOPLE , I draw animals that represent people.
- You will receive an email confirming your order. Reply to this email with the photos and information needed to create your portrait. Do not change the subject line, add any extra words or information, or delete information from the original email. Add only the requested information.
- Attach images or the scientific name of the animal I should portray.
- Attach pictures of the clothes you'd like them to wear. It's important but not required. Tell me a little more about them, and I can use this information to create a more personalized piece.
- Remember to put two color options for the background ;)
- If all information is submitted correctly, you will not receive any confirmation emails or similar.
Care:
- It is important to frame the work to protect it from dust, UV rays, among others.
- The technique is watercolor on paper, it is a technique that works with water, therefore if your work receives drops/jets of water directly, this will immediately damage the pigmentation and therefore, the paper.
- When framing, there are different types of glass, some have UV protection, others do not.
- Do not place your artwork in direct light or hang it on damp walls (e.g., in a bathroom or garden)
- Protect your artwork. Even though it's made with high-quality materials, humidity and direct sunlight will damage it in a short period of time.
