Fairs in December, 2024 🎄

December is a magical month, full of Christmas spirit and a host of events and fairs celebrating the festive season. This year I will be participating in several events in San Jose, at these fairs you can get pins, t-shirts, bags, etc.
Christmas markets:
Mercadito de Ilusiones: It takes place on November 29, 30, and December 1 at the National Park, the schedule is from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. This is a market that includes all types of entrepreneurs. I will be in block C stand #83 (this is on the south side of the National Park, in other words: the side of the Legislative Assembly but on the side of the Courts of Justice). | |
Rayón Fair: December 7 and 8 from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Pila de la Melaza (this is inside the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design or MADC). This is an event for illustrators, meaning all the stands are exclusively for illustration. (Incidentally, you can visit the "La Tina" exhibition at the MADC). |
|
Story Fair: To be held on December 14 and 15 (schedule: Saturday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm / Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm), also at Pila de la Melaza. The theme of this event is printed art, whether written or visual. |

BAC Branch - Curridabat : This is the last fair/event I will be attending this year. It will take place on December 20-21. |
La Tina Expo and Book:
A few months ago I was contacted to participate in a Costa Rican illustration book, and an exhibition will also be held for this book. For the exhibition, one of my works was chosen (I won't share which one so that it will be a surprise when you visit the museum 🙊). The exhibition opens on Thursday, December 5th at 6:00 pm at the MADC , and will be at the museum for 4 months. However, the book will be on sale during the Feria del Rayón.
